Lebih lanjut, kedua negara juga meningkatkan kerja sama dengan meneken sejumlah Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) di berbagai bidang strategis, termasuk di bidang strategi pertahanan yang ditandatangani oleh Menteri Pertahanan Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.
